— Ohio Lieutenant Governor and Department of Insurance Director Mary Taylor accepted the surrender of the resident title insurance agency license of New Horizons Land Title LLC, of Columbus, Ohio, for violations of Ohio insurance law.
A Department investigation revealed that New Horizons Land Title LLC failed to file an annual review of its escrow accounts. Ohio insurance law requires title agencies to have their escrow accounts annually audited and filed with the Department. The law also provides the Director authority to revoke a license for violating or failing to comply with any insurance law.
New Horizons Land Title’s resident insurance agency license was surrendered effective May 16, 2011.
