Allstate Insurancepany announced today it has been named to the Carbon Disclosure Projects (CDP) 2011 Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index for its proactive approach to the disclosure of thepanys climate change information.
The index, a keyponent of CDPs annual S&P 500 report, highlights the constituentpanies within the S&P 500 Index that have displayed the most professional approach to corporate governance regarding climate change information disclosure practices.panies are scored on their climate change disclosure, and high scores indicate good internal data management and understanding of climate change-related issues affecting thepany.

As part of itsmitment to reducing its carbon footprint, Allstate has a goal to maintain or reduce Allstates carbon footprint on an annual basis, as published in thepanys response to the CDP annual survey. In 2010, Allstate met this goal with a published 3 percent decrease over prior year or a total of a 15 percent reduction since its baseline of 2007.
